India’s T20 World Cup squad, led by Rohit Sharma, arrived in Perth on Oct. 6 to prepare. While other top teams play bilateral cricket, India decided for an 8-day camp during which they played two warm-up matches against the Western Australian XI.

A day after winning the first warm-up match at WACA Stadium on October 10, Indian players yachted to Rottnest Island for sightseeing and team-building activities. The country also celebrated Hardik Pandya’s birthday.

“Plan for today was to get away from the game to rejuvenate. So we chartered a yacht to Rottnest Island, 16km away “BCCI footage shows Team India mental fitness coach Paddy Upton.

“A bumpy yacht cruise wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. neither Once we arrived, the island was gorgeous. A day off was a great chance to relax. Since coming to Perth, we’ve had 3 busy days “- Dravid

On October 13, India will play Western Australia in a warm-up match before playing Australia and New Zealand. Rohit Sharma’s team will face Pakistan in Melbourne on October 23.

Cricket Ball May Have Killed This British Prince

At Ripley’s, we know that people can die tragic, unfortunate, or absurd ends. The ancient Greek poet Aeschylus reportedly died when a tortoise fell from an eagle’s claws on his skull. This is a fable, but Aeschylus is remembered for his ridiculous end.

However diligent and health-conscious we are, sometimes we’re just at the wrong place at the wrong time. This can lead to tragic fatalities. Depending on the victim, they can modify history.

A similar event affected the British royal family. A Georgian heir to the throne was reportedly slain by a cricket ball.

Poor Prince Frederick

Prince of Wales is the heir to the British monarchy. Prince William, king Charles III’s eldest son, holds it (who was himself Prince of Wales until the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II). The title has been used since 1301 when Edward I named his son. Edward I was the first Prince of Wales.

As heirs, princes of Wales are prominent members of the royal family. The heir apparent is always first in line to the throne, regardless of royal births. If they die before becoming king, they won’t necessarily rule. This happened to Frederick, Prince of Wales, who was hit by a cricket ball (so the story goes).

King George II and Queen Caroline had a son, Frederick. His parents were uncaring. In fact, they hated him. Queen Caroline said of their son, “I pray the earth would open and sink the monster to hell’s lowest pit.”

Despite being his father’s successor, the king and queen hated him. Frederick died at age 43 on March 20, 1751, never succeeding George II. His death was odd and tragic.

Why Cricket Ball?

According to legend, Frederick was hit by a cricket ball and killed. On impact, he may have just keeled over and died. This was an unusual tragedy, which is why the story is so well-known, but there was more to it than that.

The Prince, a sportsman, was hit by a ball, according to one version of the incident (it may have been a cricket or a true tennis ball, it seems). It wasn’t a sudden death, but an injury that led to the prince’s death. The strike was severe enough to cause an abscess in this version.

Abscesses are linked to chills, and Frederick died of one in the cold. The prince’s chills reportedly worsened and he developed pleurisy. Pleurisy can be caused by an abscess.

For Richard Cavendish of History Today, Frederick’s death was the bursting of an abscess just as he was recovering. Cavendish writes that doctors at the time thought the prince died of pneumonia, but his post mortem found he suffocated after the abscess opened.

A abrupt, painful brush with a cricket ball (or tennis ball) may have indirectly killed the prince.

Other variations are less remarkable. BBC’s “The First Georgians: The German Kings Who Made Britain” says Frederick had a chill and died of a pulmonary embolism. According to the show, the cricket ball story was made up. The heir’s health seemed to have been devastated by a chill. A similar wound could have caused this, too. It’s not over yet.

Was the Prince Killed?

Frederick was a cultured man who loved sports and the arts. Though his parents didn’t care for him, he seemed to ingratiate himself with people, probably due to his love of gaming. It seems his passion was his downfall. The Earl of Macclesfield wrote that the Prince died of an abscess “behind the sternum bone” caused by a fall while playing Prisoners Base.

Prisoner’s Base is a more elaborate version of tag in which captured players are imprisoned. Frederick wasn’t the only child to fall while playing tag, but this is a key piece of evidence.

A cricket ball may have aggravated a wound Frederick sustained as a child. Maybe it was a real tennis ball, and he was still unwell when the cold weather depleted his power. It may be that no sporting injury occurred. What caused Frederick’s death is a topic of debate. We may never know what killed the man or how many elements were involved.

Frederick’s eldest son became George III aged 12 when his grandfather died. The youthful monarch lived to 81, but his ill health made his son regent in his later years.
